Vtech Electronics located its
European logistics center in Weert in 1992. An ultramodern warehouse
handles the distribution and service of the company's electronic toys
and telecommunication products to its customers, mainly retailers
and wholesalers. The choice of the Netherlands was the result of the
locational advantages, good port and shipping facilities, the availability
of suitable staff and the advantageous fiscal regime, but also the
service skills and know-how valuable in distributing their products
throughout Europe. The logistics center in Weert employs 50 permanent
staff and up to 40 temporary staff during peak times.
