On September 24th, the Netherlands Foreign Investment
Agency (NFIA) celebrated its 25th year of providing assistance to
foreign companies interested in establishing, expanding or re-organizing
their pan-European operations in the Netherlands. The NFIA, which
was originally started in 1978 to provide one of the solutions for
a struggling Dutch economy, has grown into a sizable and permanent
government agency with a worldwide reach. Guests at the NFIA anniversary
celebrations included representatives from foreign companies established
in the Netherlands, former Ministers of Economic Affairs and Foreign
Trade, foreign Ambassadors in the Netherlands and the NFIA's regional
partners.
